Poldi born 1962, a southern California native, paints the celebration of the human spirit. Her free-flowing gestures and intuitive style use a striking visual vocabulary, both bold and subtle. Poldi directs paint across the canvas to reveal textures and forms that challenge the senses and convey a deep connection to the cosmos. Blending and opposing colors, movement, and shape, Poldi composes on the canvas richly layered surfaces, which resolve into an orchestrated balance she refers to as “Woven Oneness”.
Poldi is an award-winning artist. Her first solo show in 1997 was a great success, and led her to the Arts and Consciousness program at John F. Kennedy University, in Berkeley, California where she received her MFA in Studio Art in 2003. She currently resides in Santa Fe, NM where she teaches private and small group painting workshops. Poldi’s work is collected internationally and is exhibited in galleries throughout the United States.
